Mark Patriots’ Day & the 250th Anniversary of the Battles of Lexington & Concord at the Inn at Hastings Park
It was April 19th, 1775 when Colonial Minutemen and militia faced off against British redcoats in the Battles of Lexington and Concord, which included “the shot heard round the world” and ushered in the American Revolutionary War. The very grounds where those battles played out are just a hop, skip, and a jump from your Relais & Châteaux guestroom or suite here at the Inn at Hastings Park, and this spring—given the whole 250th-anniversary deal—is an extra-special time to dig into this history.
Always a good place to do so, given our historical walking tours and other offerings, our Inn also has plenty on the calendar to mark the Lex250 occasion. And our convenient accommodations, amenities, and historical goings-on set you up perfectly to enjoy all the local anniversary commemorations, which will include, on April 18th, a reenactment of Paul Revere’s fateful Midnight Ride and, on Patriots’ Day itself (April 19th), a reenactment of the Battle of Lexington, a Lexington Battle Green Rededication, the Patriot’s Day Parade (stepping off at 2 PM), and an evening concert by the Lexington Bicentennial Band, among other happenings.
