250th Anniversary Experiences at The Inn at Hastings Park

This year marks the 250th anniversary of the opening skirmishes of the American Revolution: the Battles of Lexington and Concord, which played out within shouting distance of our Inn at Hastings Park. This momentous occasion is being commemorated across Greater Boston with all sorts of celebrations and remembrances, and that most certainly includes here at our Relais & Châteaux property in the “Birthplace of American Liberty,” where you can enjoy preeminent boutique-luxury hospitality while delving into this world-shaking history via special meals, mixological adventures, and historical tours.

In fact, we’re always a great destination for Revolutionary War buffs and other history-minded individuals, given our proximity to Minute Man National Historical Park and other heritage sites. But 2025 is, needless to say, a pretty big deal, and an extra-special excuse to visit this hallowed ground while enjoying our one-of-a-kind accommodations. We’ve got a slew of special events coinciding with the “Lex250” commemoration—read on to find out more!

Lex250 Events & Experiences at Our Inn

The Battles of Lexington and Concord, which included the “shot heard round the world,” took place on April 19, 1775 and commenced on Lexington Common—today’s Lexington Battle Green, just a short stroll from your Inn at Hastings Park guestroom or suite.

Here at the Inn, we’ve always got a packed roster of special happenings and experiences, and coming up on the calendar are more than a few coinciding with the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution’s launch. On March 5th, for example, we’ll be hosting the Spirit of the Revolution Farm to Vine Dinner, a Lex250-themed edition of one of our regular epicurean series that’ll feature a four-course masterpiece of a menu by Executive Chef Alissa Tsukakoshi paired with Bully Boy Distillers spirits and cocktails.

Then on March 20th, our Revolutionary Rum Craft Cocktail Class will focus on colonial America’s go-to hard stuff (and Boston’s major role in molasses distillation) via a fun and educational tutorial on mixology.

On April 18th, meanwhile—right on the eve of the Battle of Lexington anniversary itself—we’ll treat guests to a Midnight Ride Dinner, followed up by an after-hours walk over to the Hancock-Clarke House for a reenactment of Paul Revere and William Dawes’ nighttime horseback journey to warn colonists of the approach of Redcoat troops.

Among our curated excursions always on offer, meanwhile, is the Footsteps of the Revolution Historical Walking Tour of Lexington & Concord, a fascinating guided journey to such landmarks as the Lexington Battle Green and Concord’s Old North Bridge. No better time than this 250th-anniversary year to embark on this walk into the past!
