Wellness, Quiet & Reset: A Different Kind of Escape

There’s a particular kind of tiredness that a beach vacation doesn’t fix, a city hotel can’t address, and a spa day alone can’t quite reach. It lives somewhere between overstimulation and under-nourishment — the result of too many notifications, too many obligations, and not nearly enough silence.

What actually fixes it is a different kind of escape entirely. Not more noise in a prettier setting, but genuine quiet. Slowness that isn’t scheduled. The kind of rest that happens when the environment simply allows it.

That’s the experience waiting at Inn at Hastings Park in Lexington, Massachusetts — a Relais & Châteaux property, Michelin Key recipient, and Forbes Travel Guide Four Star inn just 15 miles from Boston. It is, by every meaningful measure, a different kind of escape.

A Place That Understands Stillness

The Inn at Hastings Park is built across three historic New England buildings — The Main House, The Barn, and the Isaac Mulliken House — each thoughtfully restored and filled with rooms that feel genuinely personal. Patterned wallpapers, four-poster beds, curated books, and hand-placed details that signal someone cared about how this space would make you feel.

The Inn sits across from Wilson Farm’s open green space in the heart of Lexington, insulated from the noise of Boston and the monotony of highway-exit hotels. The air is different here. The pace is different. And from the moment you arrive, something in you starts to unwind — often before you’ve even reached your room.

Explore rooms and suites and find the space that feels right for your reset.

Wellness That Fits the Way You Actually Want to Relax

The Inn’s wellness offerings are thoughtfully assembled for guests who want options, not obligations. Nothing here is programmed or mandatory — it’s simply available, whenever you’re ready.

Through a partnership with Bella Santé Spa — one of Boston’s most celebrated luxury day spas, with its flagship location right in Lexington — guests can browse a custom-curated spa menu from the comfort of their room and book treatments directly via QR code. The spa’s 13 treatment rooms accommodate everything from restorative massage to facial rituals. The Inn also partners with Sotiria Aslanidis of SKIN & SOMA, a resident esthetician with over 21 years of experience in Boston’s finest spas, who brings bespoke facial treatments directly to your guest room. It’s the most personal possible version of a facial: in your own room, on your own schedule, with techniques rooted in an “age-well” philosophy rather than quick fixes.

For those who prefer movement to stillness, the Inn provides Technogym in-room fitness equipment — elastic bands, sling trainers, jump ropes, and a guided workout app — upon request. Manduka yoga mats are provided in every room and suite. And guests seeking a more vigorous session can access Club 600, a 13,000-square-foot CrossFit gym in nearby Bedford, through complimentary passes arranged by the Inn.

In summer, complimentary passes to the Lexington Town Pool, located just across the street, round out an offering that genuinely covers every kind of guest.

The Role of Food in Any Real Reset

Wellness isn’t only what you do with your body — it’s what you put into it, and how intentionally you eat. The Inn’s Town Meeting Bistro has received Boston Magazine’s Best of Boston® award for its commitment to seasonal, locally sourced New England fare. Chef Cory Williams builds menus around the region’s actual seasons and works with nearby farms — including Codman Community Farms — to ensure that what arrives on your plate tells an honest story about the land around you.

Breakfast at Town Meeting Bistro is an especially restorative ritual: unhurried, beautifully prepared, and served in a room that makes you want to stay a little longer with your coffee.

The Reset You’ve Been Postponing

The Inn at Hastings Park isn’t a destination for people who need to be entertained. It’s a destination for people who need to stop. To breathe. To eat well, sleep deeply, and re-enter the world feeling like themselves again.

Whatever version of wellness you’re looking for — whether it’s massage and stillness or yoga and trail runs and a proper meal — this is where it lives, quietly, just outside of Boston, waiting for you.
